Commercial Lead (Mega Data Centre Project)

120,000 Euros plus package

 

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to oversee all commercial aspects of a mega £bn data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the largest and most complex data centre developments in Europe. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in large-scale construction or data centre projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead all commercial and contract management activities for the project, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
  • Manage procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Oversee cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring transparent and efficient financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with German and EU contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to drive project success.
  • Provide strategic leadership to commercial teams, fostering a high-performance culture.

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Extensive experience in commercial leadership roles within large-scale construction, infrastructure, or data centre projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract management (FIDIC, NEC, or other relevant forms of contract).
  • Expertise in cost management, procurement, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to navigate complex contractual and financial frameworks within an international environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are highly desirable.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MRICS/MCIOB accreditation is an advantage

 

Package:

 

  • 120,000 euro basic salary (negotiable)
  • 20,000 living allowance
  • Visa Provided
  • One bed apartment
