Management Accountant

Location: Lee Mill, PL21 9GS
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Reports to: Accounts Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join our small, friendly finance team. This key role will support management accounts, financial reporting, and day-to-day processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and supporting job-costing accounting
• Processing purchase invoices, payroll (for 60 staff), and credit card transactions
• Supporting customer invoicing, profitability analysis, and financial controls
• Assisting with month-end, year-end, and intercompany reconciliations

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in account reconciliations, payroll, and invoice processing
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Sage 50 / Sage Payroll
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Construction industry experience and an AAT qualification (desirable)
