About the Company:

Our client is a well-established and award-winning building and refurbishment contractor based in Cardiff, specializing in cladding, interior refurbishment, and fit-out projects across South Wales. With a reputation for delivering high-quality work and fostering long-term career growth, they are now seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

As a Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for refurbishment and fit-out projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to analyze project requirements, assess materials and labour costs, and ensure competitive, profitable pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for cladding, refurbishment, and fit-out projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients to ensure accuracy in pricing.
• Identify potential risks and provide value engineering solutions where possible.
• Keep up to date with market trends, material costs, and construction methods.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally within cladding, refurbishment, or fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with great attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
