Exciting Opportunity for a Finishing Manager in Cornwall!

Our client, a leading house builder, is looking for a Finishing Manager to oversee the final stages of construction, ensuring smooth handovers and exceptional quality standards.

The Role: Finishing Manager

As Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the final stages of house-building projects, ensuring properties are completed to specification, snag-free, and ready for client handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finishing and snagging process, ensuring all work meets quality and NHBC standards.
• Manage subcontractors and trades, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Carry out quality control inspections, identifying and resolving defects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations on-site.
• Work closely with site managers, project teams, and customers to ensure a smooth handover.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Report progress and issues to senior site management.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Proven experience as a Finishing Manager in house building.
✅ Carpentry background (preferred) with strong knowledge of residential construction.
✅ Ability to identify and resolve defects, ensuring homes are handed over snag-free.
✅ Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
✅ Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
✅ SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS Card & First Aid at Work (Essential).
✅ Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) – travel between sites required.
