Quantity Surveyor

Location: Mid Cornwall
Salary: £65,000–£70,000 + Competitive Package

About the Role

Sphere Solutions are working in partnership with a successful, market-leading regional contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of refurbishment and new build projects across the South West. You’ll play a key role in the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of construction projects
• Administer contracts, with a strong focus on NEC forms of contract
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best commercial outcomes
• Prepare subcontract documentation and manage subcontractor accounts
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and overall financial performance
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare accurate monthly cost and value reports

About You

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts
• Experience delivering refurbishment and/or new build construction projects
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
