Quantity Surveyor

I’m seeking a competent and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable shopfitting contractor at their office which is based in Weston-Super-Mare.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial you will manage a number of projects, you will take financial responsibility and ensure project costs are monitored, budgets adhered to, and project costs delivered.

Ideal candidate requirements

• 3 years of surveying experience
• Experience as a QS within a construction company
• Ability to review plans and drawings to prepare detailed and accurate BoQs
• HNC or degree-qualified
• Good IT skills
• Live within a commutable distance of Weston-Super-Mare
• A full UK driving license will be required as some travel will be expected

Role responsibilities

• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Analytically review and control budgets and make improvements
• Practice time management skills to deal with fast-paced programmes and manage workload
• Liaising and working collaboratively with others
• Travel to sites when required

On offer is a salary of £45,000-£50,000 and a benefits package which includes mileage paid for site visits, Healthcare, Dental care, Life insurance, Salary protection for long-term sickness and a Pension scheme.
