£55k – £63k + Car Allowance

I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer to work for a large contractor on a permanent basis. Our client are looking for candidates to join their civils teams working on a variety of projects across the South West.

Duties:

• Proactively drive the progress of work on site.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
• Monitor project progress and report on critical paths, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide detailed reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Support the development of resource and cost-loaded programmes, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Conduct regular reviews of progress against baseline programmes and propose corrective actions as necessary.

The Candidate:

• Experience delivering a planning role for a portfolio of both tender / pre-construction and build stage projects
• Proven experience in planning on major infrastructure projects.
• Tier 1 contract experience.
• Clean UK driving license and happy to travel to different sites
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
