The Role: Setting Out Engineer

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for providing precise and accurate setting out, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality and efficiency. You will work across multiple sites, liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Setting Out & Surveying – Using robotic total stations, auto levels, and rotating dual-grade lasers to ensure accurate measurements.
• Interpret Drawings & Specifications – Work closely with engineers and designers to translate AutoCAD drawings into precise on-site execution.
• Quality Control & Assurance – Ensure all works are carried out in line with project specifications and industry standards.
• Collaboration – Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to maintain smooth project progress.
• Health & Safety Compliance – Adhere to all health & safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment on-site.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ HNC Qualification – In Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
✅ At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role (preferred).
✅ Proficiency in AutoCAD – Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.
✅ Experience using robotic total stations, auto levels, and rotating dual-grade lasers.
✅ CSCS Card & Full UK Driving Licence – Essential for this role.
✅ Strong communication skills – Ability to work well with site teams and project managers.
