Site Manager – Exeter

Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking construction company specialising in refurbishment projects, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a permanent basis.

About the Role

As a Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing projects up to £1.5m in sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial. You will ensure smooth project delivery, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, architects, surveyors, and clients.
• Monitor and update project programmes, recording delays and advising on additional work requirements.
• Oversee work carried out by subcontractors and company employees, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain compliance with company and industry standards.
• Manage site documentation and liaise with senior management regarding project progress.

What We’re Looking For

• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, and Asbestos Awareness certifications.
• Proficiency in IT, including email communication and electronic project management tools.
• JCT contract experience preferred.
• A strong construction background with proven experience managing projects over £1m.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
