£100,000-£120,000 & Senior Package

A leading National Main Contractor, recognized as one of the UK’s top construction and property development businesses, is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager / Project Director for a prestigious project in Exeter Circ. £260m.

The project involves the largest Passivhaus scheme in the Student Accommodation sector, which includes the construction of 1,700 new build units and the refurbishment of 300 existing units. The buildings will range from 3 to 8 storeys, with construction slated to begin in July 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage the project team, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor progress and resolve issues to maintain timelines and budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, particularly in sustainability and building codes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience with a Main Contractor (Tier 1 contractors preferred) in managing large-scale New Build projects.
  • Degree-qualified with a strong background in construction management.
  • Track record of successfully delivering projects of similar size and value.
  • Experience in managing complex schemes, including refurbishments and high-rise builds, is highly desirable.

Town Planner

£55,000-£70,000

They have an exciting opportunity for a Town Planner to join their friendly team in Exeter.

About the role….

  • Take responsibility for delivering profitable development opportunities to meet targets and programmes
  • Progress and manage the planning processes
  • Provide town planning advice
  • Assess planning risks prior to land purchase, considering all planning issues and investigate to quantify any risks
  • Consider all planning issues in connection with the land e.g. archaeological, ecological, highways, services, TIA’s, EIA’s, BNG, etc
  • Attend meetings with Parish Councils and other bodies as appropriate.
  • Assess and respond to Committee agendas / reports and represent the Company at planning committees
  • Ensure that the Development Director is advised of all matters at all times
  • Liaise with in-house or external architects
  • Prepare project development assessments

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

  • Relevant and recent experience in a similar role within housing
  • Good knowledge of local Authority policy requirements
  • Good relationships with relevant local Authorities and Planning Consultants
  • Member of the RTPI of degree level in T&C planning
