You will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all low-voltage electrical systems for our construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of low-voltage systems, including data cabling, fire alarm systems, security systems, and audio-visual installations, and have a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for low-voltage electrical systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Review and interpret low-voltage system designs, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, client specifications, and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle
- Source and evaluate vendors and subcontractors specializing in low-voltage systems.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Oversee the work of subcontractors and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding low voltage package updates.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and monitor expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Provide technical training and updates on emerging low-voltage technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in managing low voltage electrical systems, with 5+ years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of systems such as Structured cabling, Fire alarms, Access control and security systems / Audio-visual systems
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and electrical design tools.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, BICSI standards).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- BICSI RCDD, CTS, or similar low voltage system certifications.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus

Specialising in delivering high-quality infrastructure, groundworks, and construction projects. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets, ensuring financial control and profitability across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Tendering and Procurement: Prepare and analyse costings for tenders, and assist in the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.
- Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, identify and manage risks, and issue notices as required.
- Valuations and Variations: Conduct accurate valuations for completed work, prepare and negotiate variations, and submit interim and final accounts.
- Project Support: Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering or construction sector.
- Experience with small to medium-sized projects is preferred.
- Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Membership in a professional body such as RICS or ICES is advantageous but not essential.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, or similar tools).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

With at least 5 years experience of experience as a Buyer, this opportunity will suit an individual that had a proven track record in procuring materials, is commercially aware and has excellent negotiation skills.
The role:
- Procure all materials for the best possible price
- Mentor junior team members
- Analyse current supply chain price agreements / obtain competitive prices
- Compare suppliers’ quotes and analyse prices against tender allowances
- Research product information and alternative products
- Assist the accounts department to resolve/ avoid invoice queries
- Measure quantities of materials if required
The person:
- Proven experience in a similar role with construction experience and knowledge
- Highly organised/ Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good negotiation skills
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel & Outlook
Construction qualification preferred but not essential
