Accounts Administrator – Ivybridge

We are working with a national fit-out contractor to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join their busy office based in Ivybridge.

You will work alongside an experienced Accounts team providing administration support and manage various financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input purchase and sales invoices onto in house systems.
  • Manage company credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and timely recording.
  • Monitor and track employee credit card expenses, review and reconcile credit card statements.
  • Assist with the processing of payments and managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Adhoc accounts administration support.

Suitable candidates:

  • Must have previous experience with invoice processing, credit card management and accounts administration.
  • Competent knowledge of computer functions such as Microsoft. Sage knowledge and experience is preferrable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time office-based role Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with half an hour for lunch.

Salary circa £25,000 depending on experience and qualifications. There is the opportunity for career development and growth within the company.

  • A relevant qualification (AAT or similar) is preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are looking to recruit a Site Manager with experience of managing external packages. You will join an experienced site team on a large ££m new build apartment blocks on the outskirts of Exeter. Suitable candidates will have experience managing external works, which will include; brickwork, windows, steel frame erection, and roofing.

The role:

  • Quality control/ and package management
  • Chair run progress/coordination meetings
  • Check, write and authorise RAMS
  • Experience with brickwork materials call-offs/management
  • Able to work autonomously to drive the programme
  • Reporting to the Project Manager to achieve programmes and objectives.

 

To be considered:

I’m seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Electrical Project Engineer to join a site-based team.

This role involves supporting the Senior Project Engineer / Project Director to ensure the successful delivery of projects from planning through to commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of documentation, drawings, and specifications, and assist with design deliverables and project administration tasks.

The role:

  • Assist the Senior Project Engineer and project team to successfully deliver projects – including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Support the design team in producing design deliverables, ensuring high-quality technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of key project documents – drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
  • Lead and attend project reviews and meetings
  • Maintain accurate project records – daily progress logs, diaries, and documentation, ensuring all project information is up to date.
  • Prepare and deliver both internal and external reports, liaising with stakeholders
  • Manage subcontractors, monitoring their attendance, progress, and performance to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements.
  • Ensure procurement plans are in place and that materials, resources, and supply chain activities are delivered on schedule.
  • Develop an awareness of the Digital Briefcase system and integrate it into project workflow.
  • Assist with site administration tasks, including issuing information to the supply chain and subcontractors.
  • Assist / implement safe systems of work and ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recently qualified electrically biased graduate or experienced electrician seeking further experience in project engineering.
  • Holds or is eager to work towards the APM PFQ/PMQ qualification.
  • Possesses CSCS certification; SMSTS or equivalent certification is desirable.
  • Experience working on construction or engineering projects with knowledge of project management and commercial communications.
  • Strong experience in implementing and maintaining safe systems of work on site.
  • Be able to obtain BPSS clearance and other security checks

As a Contracts Manager you will oversee the planning, management, and execution of minor works contracts across a range of sectors, including commercial, education, heritage, local authority/government and MoD.

The role requires a combination of strong project management and pricing skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, develop client relationships, and work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role:

  • Tender preparation – reviewing, specification and preparing costs, value engineering
  • Cost breakdowns of labour, material, plant, subcontract quotes/negotiation
  • Budget management – monitor project costs, variations and cost reporting
  • Project delivery – compliance with the contract specifications
  • Programming – project time scales, labour and materials
  • Client liaison – the main point of contact for the client
  • Quality Control – work in progress, QA, building regulations
  • Health & Safety – ensure all projects adhere to HSE standards and expectations

What you need:

  • Proven track record of contract management and estimating, ideally in minor works – £50,000 – £1m
  • Relevant construction qualification, along with SMSTS, CSCS – black or White card is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts – JCT/NEC and building regulations.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills for estimating and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing site teams, subcontractors etc.
  • The role will require DBS/ SC clearance and a full driving license.
