Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Document Controller to join our client working on a major high-technology construction project in Newport. This is a 3-year project with the possibility of further work on completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all aspects of document control and administration on a fast-paced construction site, ensuring smooth and efficient project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Control:
Manage and maintain the project’s document control system, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible.
Oversee the distribution, storage, and retrieval of technical documents, drawings, and project records.
Ensure compliance with company and project-specific document management procedures.
Administration Support:
Provide administrative support to the project team, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and correspondence management.
Maintain site records, including attendance logs, induction records, and health & safety documentation.
Support project reporting and liaise with stakeholders as required.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and documentation flow.
Assist in coordinating document reviews and approvals in line with project timelines.
Quality Assurance:
Regularly audit the document control system to identify and resolve any inconsistencies or gaps.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and project-specific standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in document control and administration on large construction projects.
Proficiency in document management systems and software.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with expertise in concrete structures and reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction to join our team for an exciting large-scale data centre project in Newport. This role demands an experienced professional with a deep understanding of RC frame design, execution, and quality assurance in high-profile construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and technical aspects of concrete and RC frame construction.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors and site personnel to ensure adherence to designs, specifications, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement efficient construction methodologies for RC frames.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards for concrete works, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct structural assessments, troubleshooting, and value engineering exercises where required.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical drawings, calculations, and material submittals.
- Liaise with design consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and problem resolution.
- Ensure health and safety standards are rigorously upheld across all activities.
- Manage project documentation, including site reports, risk assessments, and technical records.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related field).
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in concrete and RC frame projects.
Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge of reinforced concrete frame construction techniques.
- Proficient in using relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, or similar).
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, including Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Strong understanding of material specifications, formwork systems, and concrete technology.
