Sphere Solutions Champions Appointed to Lighthouse Club South West Committee
We are thrilled to share exciting news about our dedicated team members at Sphere Solutions. Rob Bennett, Jo Lambert, and Selin Thomas, all based in our Plymouth office, have been appointed to key positions in The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity’s South West Club effective 1st February 2024.
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity www/lighthouseclub.org is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families. A crucial element of their strategy is to provide a wide range of free and widely available pro-active resources to support the industry. The charity aided 4400 construction families in crisis in 2023 alone and looks to reach as many construction workers as they can who need help.
Social Value in Action:
This achievement directly aligns with Sphere Solutions’ Social Value commitments. By actively participating in and supporting charitable initiatives like The Lighthouse Club, we contribute to the well-being of our construction community beyond the workplace. Our commitment to social responsibility extends to fostering a positive impact on the lives of those in need, embodying our dedication to creating value for both our employees and the wider community.
The South West Club is gearing up for increased events and fundraising in 2024, and we are proud to announce the newly elected committee members taking effect from February 1, 2024:
- Rob Bennett (Elected Chairman): With over 20 years on the committee and a history of impactful fundraisers, including London Marathon runs and successful quiz nights, Rob has been elected as Chairman.
- Jo Lambert (Elected Branch Secretary): Jo brings over 23 years of experience in the construction sector and a wealth of connections. She has played a pivotal role in supporting club functions and will now serve as Branch Secretary.
- Selin Thomas (Elected Membership Secretary): With over 20 years in the construction sector, Selin has been actively involved in the club and will now take on the role of Membership Secretary, contributing to the growth of the membership base.
This dynamic team joins David Jeffery, elected Honorary Club President, and Brian McGlinchey, appointed Treasurer, in leading the South West Club.
As we look forward to an eventful 2024, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Rob, Jo, and Selin for their appointments. Their commitment not only reflects the values of Sphere Solutions but also our dedication to making a positive impact on the construction community.
